Talia Gutin is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through The Co-Active Training Institute and the first ever “Mindful Coach” on the MindfulMFT team. She has studied from and continues to learn under Vienna’s expertise and has also received extensive training in somatic therapies and coaching, mindfulness-based techniques, and leadership development. Talia also holds a graduate degree from New York University, where she studied social work and creative writing. Talia views the writing process as a creative doorway to better understanding oneself and inner experience.
Because of the licensure limitations for therapists*, Talia has come on board to offer sessions to people not based in New York but drawn to the approach and style Vienna and the team offer. Talia offers video sessions to individuals and couples to bridge geographical constraints while still offering the MindfulMFT approach.
In addition to the above, Talia is a 300-hour yoga teacher who incorporates principles of yoga and meditation into her approach. She specializes in helping her clients reclaim contact and connection with the truth of their inner lives and selves by noticing the places where they’ve pivoted away from their true selves, and how to, with reflection, intention, and courage, lessen the gap between their external persona and innermost being. Her expertise is helping clients develop greater authenticity and self and relational awareness. She helps individuals and couples track, understand, and heal unhelpful internalized patterns from their family of origin to overcome repetitive and constrictive present-day cycles in their relationships and lives. Talia also has extensive training in working with clients who have experienced some form of grief and loss. Whether a client is experiencing the loss of a loved one or the grief of losing a part of themselves, Talia helps her clients explore the ambiguous, painful, and often isolating waters of grief.
Talia supports her clients to restore a sense of inner and outer wholeness and live into their deepest values, enabling them to live a life of alignment and meaning. She holds her clients with acceptance and compassion for where they are today while supporting their growth into the people they long to be. She guides clients with deep tenderness and safety while challenging them to expand and express more of who they are.
