A group for women who are looking for a safe and sacred space to heal after heartbreak. Find comfort along with others who are also embarking on the post-heartbreak journey.

Cost: $100/session* ($800 total for all 8 sessions)
Commitment: 1.5 hours each week

This is an 8-week online therapeutic group for women who are healing from heartbreak. We will be a small group of only 8 women. Our group will be held weekly via Zoom, and though despite not meeting in person, this will be a safe and sacred space to heal. Find comfort along with others who are also embarking on the post-heartbreak journey.
Heartbreak is a universal experience though each story and experience of heartbreak is uniquely different. And while it may be one of the hardest experiences in life (and rarely easy to go through), it is often an experience that holds deep meaning, lesson and opportunity for growth. Heartbreak can be a profound time in one’s existence, a catalytic time even, to reevaluate our relationship to self, to understand where we may still hold pains around recent and old endings/wounds, and perhaps even to arrive at a greater understanding of who we are, what we desire, and where we seek to be – in life, within, and in love. In the peril of heartbreak there is also space for beauty, growth, a greater connection to self, and a deeper connection to love and life. In this group, we’ll seek to understand and explore this all. We’ll examine the impact of your heartbreak, grieve, reflect, and gently learn how to journey forward. One breath. One feeling. One moment at a time.

Session 1: Shared stories of heartbreak
In our first session, we will share our stories of heartbreak collectively as an opportunity to be supportively witnessed, heard, and seen. We will seek to understand how we’ve landed here, our current relationship to the heartbreak experience, and where we are in this process. The experience of sharing one’s story in the presence of others who are facing a similar struggle is therapeutic in its own right. Let’s start here.
Session 2:The “after”/ aftermath
The ending of a relationship is a demarcation in our life. There is a before, and an after. This is regardless of whether we are the one who was left or if we were the one that did the leaving. Here, we will consider the emotional and psychological ramifications of heartbreak in the after/aftermath. We will connect to the consequences of the heartbreak on our minds, our bodies, our daily life – asking ourselves important questions such as who was I before? Who am I in the after or aftermath?
Session 3: Feelings, longings, desire & pain.
Feeling our feelings is a critical process in healing from heartbreak and truly, a psychological necessity. We will delve deeply here into the complex feelings that arise. These feelings tend to be varied, ranging in severity, vacillate, and are usually contradictory (sadness, relief, anger, desire, longing, disappointment, pain – just to name a few). We will identify your unique feeling experience and utilize meditation and journaling in this session to really hone into our feeling states – consciously and subconsciously.
Session 4: Grief & loss.
The process of healing from heartbreak is very similar to that which we experience in the state of grief. After all, this was a loss and it deserves to be mourned. In this session we will explore the stages of grief as it relates to heartbreak and process it.
Session 5: New wounds, old wounds
Endings and heartbreak often resurrect old wounds that become reactivated in the present which can make healing a bit more complicated than we may appreciate at the surface. In this session, we will explore historical wounds surrounding abandonment, loss, rejection and heartbreak. We’ll dissect what feels familiar, what is being reactivated, where we need deeper healing, and we’ll ask ourselves some important questions here such as – when was my heart really first broken?
Session 6: Reflections, reframing and returning to self
Heartbreak can be a magical teacher if we allow it be. Session 6 will focus on reflecting, reviewing and reframing the lessons learned via heartbreak. We’ll also dive inward to understand how our relationship with ourselves has evolved or changed – leaning into curiosity, inquiry and wonder.
Session 7: Meaning Making
Making meaning entails a reconstruction of the narrative we tell ourselves in the wake of heartbreak. Finding meaning can enhance our coping capacity, improve our adaptation, can help us find benefit in our circumstance, and provide one with a more integrated and holistic sense of understanding. This week, we will examine how we understand, make sense of, and understand the distinct meaning of your heartbreak.
Session 8: Leaning in, letting go, and moving forward
Our final session, our own ending, will be an integration of all the previous sessions. Evaluating where we have been in our journey and process, consolidate gains and our healing, accept change, and consider how we can move forward in a heart centered, empowered way. We will end with a final ritual for letting go.
